Solar Panels Help Germans Save and Earn Money

Solar panels help Germans save and earn significant amounts – the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) claims that only over the past year, solar generation has increased by a third.

The batteries installed on the roofs and areas not only cover their owners’ needs but also allow you to earn money. According to Destatis, the average income from the sale of electricity to the common network was 174 euros per month.

The total nominal power of all installed batteries is 58,400 megawatts. Moreover, even on sunny winter days, the share of solar generation did not exceed 6.3%. Under ordinary conditions, on average, its share is even lower – less than 5%.

Despite this, more and more homeowners are striving to install solar panels. Companies for the production and installation of such systems indicate a real boom. Over the past year alone, their number has increased by more than 200 thousand.

The federal law on renewable energy sources makes solar energy as profitable as possible. The cost of 1 kilowatt-hour on average for the year can be reduced to 7 euro centers. At the same time, this stimulates the self -consuming of energy by batteries.

If 20 years ago, power networks were ready to purchase electricity at prices much higher than market prices, today, the difference is insignificant. Those installing solar batteries are more profitable in consuming energy themselves.

The average cost of a small system consisting of several modules and energy storage equipment is tens of thousands of euros. For example, 36 solar batteries with a turnkey installation cost their owner 30 thousand.

Despite the high prices, in Germany, long waiting sheets were formed. If one orders the installation today, he would have to wait a few months. Additionally, companies and homeowners want to invest in solar energy against the background of rising energy prices.
